Lens Cap Day on the French Riviera

These young people are celebrating 
International Lens Cap Day 
with creative eyewear!
March 20, 2013 was a landmark day. It represents the international introduction of Lens Cap Day. People from all over the world took note when these famous French pop stars hit the scene donning stylish lens caps in celebration of Lens Cap Day. Twitter exploded that day and the holiday is now being celebrated across the globe. What will this year's celebration be like? One can only imagine!

    These guys look like they could go out boating next. That reminds me of this story related to me by Ernest Hemingway in his own words:

    "Ok, this is too awesome for words, especially if you are a fisherman. Fishing near the headwaters of the Mekhong river with specially designed rod, line, leader, hook, and boat I caught a 957 pound catfish. In the ensuing battle my boatman was knocked overboard and drowned but the important thing is that I was able to get this fish monster ashore and get a picture with my boatman's camera. I didn't know how to work around the telephoto lens so I had to back up two hundred yards to get the picture. But I got the picture. Only thing is, I forgot to take off the lens cap. Look, just take my word for it; I got the fish and I got the picture. Nine hundred and fifty-seven pounds."
